Marjorie Leah Houseworth, longtime Irving resident, died on December 3, 2015 at age 93. She was born on February 7, 1922 in Cement, Oklahoma to William Carson and Besse Rose (Ferguson) Swarts. Marj earned her Bachelor’s Degree and worked as a Day School Director in the childcare and education field and she attended the First United Methodist Church of Irving. She is preceded in death by her parents, sister Dorothy Bussey, her beloved husband William H. Houseworth, Sr. and great granddaughter Morgan Routh Harris. Left to remember the loving wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother she was are her daughters Linda Harris and husband Jack of Whitesboro; Sue Wilson and husband Ralph of Irving; Ann van Bever and husband Peter of Portland, OR; Kay Gill and husband Bob of Irving; her son Bill Houseworth, Jr. of Denver, CO along with ten grandchildren and nine great grandchildren. A memorial service to celebrate her life will be held at 2:00 PM on Saturday, December 12, 2015 at the First United Methodist Church of Irving at 211 W. Third Street with Reverend Peter McNabb officiating.
