James P. “Jimmy” Story, lifelong Irving resident, died in Irving on December 10, 2015 at the age of 79. He was born in Dallas, Texas to James Franklin and Zora Clemmie (Brewer) Story on January 18, 1936. Jimmy was the Vice President and General Manager of Davis Crane for 45 years. He enjoyed golfing and spending time at Possum Kingdom Lake with his family and friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents and will be greatly missed by his daughter Lisa Bryant and husband Gary of Graham, TX; son Jay Story and wife Monica of Irving; daughter Jamie Walters and husband Andrew of Prosper, TX; grandchildren Chad and Greg Bryant; Amanda Story; Trey Story and wife Heather; Courtney Blair and husband Jon; Cole, Kailee and Megan Walters; great-grandchildren Carter Bryant, Landon Story, Addi Story and Nolan Story along with numerous lifelong friends. A funeral service will be held at 3:30 PM on Monday, December 14, 2015 at Brown’s Memorial Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Maury Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 2:00 to 4:00 PM on Sunday, December 13, 2015.
